Our Statement of Faith
Reformation Church of Palmyra (founded in 1885) remains firmly rooted in the confessional legacy of the Protestant Reformation. We gladly uphold the historic Three Forms of Unity:
- The Belgic Confession (1561)
- The Heidelberg Catechism (1563)
- The Canons of Dordrecht (1618–1619)
These confessions do not replace Scripture but faithfully summarize biblical truth, echoing the theology of the apostles. Like the Reformers before us, we stand in continuity with the historic, universal (catholic) Christian church, not apart from it.
Today, we are joyfully affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA)—a gospel-centered movement that emphasizes the authority of God’s Word, the centrality of the cross, and unity in essential Christian doctrines while welcoming diversity on secondary theological matters.
